How to read a scooter listing

Scooters almost always get a full system, so most titles end in Full System. A few end in Slip-On, Mid Full System or Decat Pipe. The scooter's years come right after its name. On most listings the silencer (muffler) is oval and matte black, and every kit except the Decat Pipes lets you lift out the DB killer (baffle).

Our take: for a Vespa or a Beverly, open Evo4 Road first, since it has the most Piaggio kits. For a Honda SH, a Kymco Agility or a Yamaha N-Max, start with Furore-X Scooter. The two lines list the same silencer size and finish, so pick the one your scooter has a kit for.

What the scooter lines look like

  • Furore-X Scooter and Evo4 Road: oval, 100 x 130 mm (about 3.9 x 5.1 in), 304 stainless steel with a ceramic-painted matte black body.
  • Furore Nero and Furore Evo4 Nero: oval, 90 x 120 mm (about 3.5 x 4.7 in), ceramic-finished black aluminum.
  • Albus Ceramic and Albus Evo4: ceramic-treated aluminum in white glossy.
  • Deeptone Inox: 304 stainless steel, round, 3.1 in (80 mm) diameter.
  • Grand Prix Evo Titanium: conical, brushed titanium with matte black end caps.

Emissions classes

Scooter specs use three EPA labels: one says the kit meets the limit, one says it falls short of the limit, and one says it lacks EPA/CARB certification. Go by the spec line of the kit you choose.

A line page shows every scooter that line fits. This page shows scooters across lines: Furore Nero, Albus Ceramic, Evo4 Road, Deeptone Inox, Albus Evo4, Furore-X Scooter, Power Bomb and Grand Prix Evo Titanium. Brand pages: Piaggio, Honda, Yamaha, Kymco, SYM, Suzuki, Aprilia, Gilera, Zontes, Peugeot, Malaguti, Voge. Not a scooter rider? The road bike, trail and off-road and ATV and UTV pages work the same way.

Scooter questions

Is a full system the usual kit for a scooter?

On this page, yes. Most titles end in Full System, and the rest end in Slip-On, Mid Full System or Decat Pipe. A full system replaces the stock exhaust and its silencer.

Do you list a kit for the Yamaha TMax?

Yes. The TMax 530 and TMax 560 have Grand Prix Evo Titanium full systems, and the TMax 500 is listed too.

What does Race mean at the end of a scooter title?

A trailing Race flags the Race version of the kit. Yamaha's X Max 250 and Tricity 125 Furore-X Scooter full systems each have a Race listing beside the standard one, so open both and compare their specs.

Why do some kits say slip-on for the original manifold?

Those kits are listed for the manifold already on the scooter. Gilera, Peugeot, Aprilia and Piaggio models use them in places, and the Fitting line in the specs confirms it.

Which finish should I choose?

Most scooter silencers here are matte black with a ceramic-painted 304 stainless steel body. Albus Ceramic and Albus Evo4 are white glossy aluminum, and Deeptone Inox and Satinox are brushed stainless steel.

Are there kits for a Zontes, Voge or Aeon scooter?

Yes. Zontes has the largest set of the three, with Furore-X Scooter kits for the M, D, E, 365 and 368G scooters. Voge and Aeon have a few listings each.
