The RS650R is the exception on emissions

A slip-on exchanges the stock silencer (muffler) for a GPR one. The 125s and the Superdual kits all say "Meets the EPA emissions limit". The RS650R kits go the other way, with an EPA row that reads not compliant. The SWM listings all carry a DB killer (baffle) that slips out, and the dual slip-ons list them in the plural.

What each SWM silencer is made of

• Satinox: brushed 304 stainless steel in an oval body, 2.5 kg (5.51 lbs) on the scale.
• Trioval: hand-polished 304 stainless steel, oval, a length of 400 mm (15.7 in), the same listed weight as Satinox.
• Furore-X Inox: 304 stainless steel finished with tapered satin end caps, matching Satinox on weight too.
• Furore Nero: ceramic-finished black aluminum, Avional end caps cut by CNC, and 1.75 kg on the SM 125 R.
• Deeptone Inox: the round one, 304 stainless steel with a diameter of 80 mm (3.1 in) and a listed 1.4 kg (3.09 lbs).

Our take: on the Superdual the choice is polish against brush. Trioval and Satinox match on weight, fit and EPA label, so take Trioval for the shine and Satinox for the matte steel.
