GPR Grand Prix Evo Poppy exhausts in carbon-look stainless steel

The GPR Grand Prix Evo Poppy is a conical silencer. Its body is stainless steel in a carbon-look finish, topped by matte black end caps of CNC-machined stainless steel. Nearly every kit is a slip-on; the rest are dual slip-ons or a mid system.

The three share a conical shape, so the choice comes down to finish. See the Grand Prix Evo Titanium or the Grand Prix Evo Black Titanium for the other two.

Our take: the Poppy suits a rider who wants the carbon look at the tail but prefers steel to carbon fiber. It lists no full systems, so a Ducati or BMW owner after one has to look at the other Evo lines.

BMW scooters are covered as well: the C650GT and the C600 Sport each have a slip-on. So does the Can Am Spyder RT1000.

A listing title reads make, model, model years, then the line name and the kit format, such as Slip-On or Dual Slip On. The fitment table on the page lists every year.

Evo Poppy: emissions labels and DB killers

Only two emissions labels appear in this line: a kit either meets the EPA emissions limit or it does not. Most slip-ons carry the first, and so do most dual slip-ons. The Ducati Hypermotard 796 mid system carries the second.

Each kit includes a DB killer that lifts out of the outlet. GPR homologates many kits for noise, and the listings suggest checking your country's rules on a catalytic converter.
